It is officially monsoon season and for Lahore, that means insane flooding everywhere.
The city is one big (dirty) swimming pool, and because of that, a lot of people have had to stay home. And there isn’t much to do, to be honest. Which is why…
We decided to come up with this list of activities you can do in the comfort of your own home if you happen to be stuck there all day because of the rain.
1. Race Paper Boats
If there is one thing I learned from IT, it’s that paper boats always lead to an adventure!
2. Collect worms
Rain means all the worms residing in your garden come to seek drier land on your porch. Collect those suckers and save some money the next time you go fishing. Alternatively, you can adopt one as your pet.
3. Dramatically reenact A sad song
All you need is your headphones, a depressing song, and a window. Sit next to the window and let your inner emo child out.
4. Chai
You’ve probably already done this one… but koi nahi, phir karlein.
5. Collect rain water
Paani ka buhraan anay wala hai. Put your pots, baaltis and anything else you can find outside to collect to rainwater for bad days.
6. Live out your Bollywood moment
If you have a saari lying around, put it on and let the magic happen. Yes, this is both for men and women.
7. Order food and wait for it to never arrive
But at least you’ll have something to look forward to for the next 3 hours.
8. Watch A scary movie
The clouds outside have made for a perfectly dim setting for a scary movie. If you scare easy, you can look at the time to make yourself feel better, k abhi tou dupheher hai yaar.
9. Go swimming at your local park
It’s probably underwater right now so walking is out of the question. What? You’re seriously going to pretend you’re too classy to do that.
10. Snap your friends in Karachi
Send them all the videos you can of rain in your city. Trust me, bauhat maza aye ga.
11. Pray for it to stop raining
Bauhat hassi mazak hogaya, now please pray that it stops raining because there’s only so much you can do when you’re stuck at home!
