Kangana Ranaut stirred up quite a controversy when she made some pretty shockingly hateful statements against Pakistan following the Pulwama Attack. According to The Times Of India, the actress said, “Pakistan has not only violated our nation’s security but also attacked our dignity by openly threatening and humiliating us.”
She went on to add, “Anyone who lectures about non-violence and peace at this time should be painted black, put on a donkey and slapped by everyone on the streets.”
She also targeted Shabana Azmi on her plan to visit Karachi.
As reported as the IB Times, the actress commented, “People like Shabana Azmi calling for halt on cultural exchange – they are the ones who promote ‘Bharat tere tukde honge’ gangs…Why did they organize an event in Karachi in the first place when Pakistani artistes have been banned after Uri attacks? And now they are trying to save face?”
She then dropped this bomb:
“The film industry is full of such anti-nationals who boost enemies’ morals in many ways, but right now is the time to focus on decisive actions… Pakistan ban is not the focus, Pakistan destruction is.”
Now, her movie ‘Manikarnika’ was shown in Pakistani cinema houses for two weeks after its release all across Pakistan and it performed decently. According to Entertainment Pakistan, the movie raked a total of 1.9 crores in week one and 55 lacs in two weeks after the release.
While Kangana’s Manikarnika released long before the Pulwama attack but, people noticed that she apparently did not ask for the film to be withdrawn in Pakistan.
Actors and Producers like Ajay Devgan and Dinesh Vijan, tweeted about not releasing their movies in Pakistan, picking a clear side in the aftermath of the tragedy, unlike Kangana, whose decisive action plan still appears to be quite indecisive, especially after her bold statements of painting the face of people black who dare lecture about non-violence and peace at this time.
She has even been criticized for the same online.
Nationalist #KanganaRanaut called @AzmiShabana antinational. Meanwhile #Manikarnika which is disaster at boxoffice in India, still running in Pakistan.

People can’t help but point out the irony.
Kangana Ranaut has not asked for her film Manikarnika to be withdrawn from theaters in Pakistan. Ranaut has kept Manikarnika out of the patriotism test she is imposing on others. She attacks Shabana Azmi who canceled her Pakistan trip as a mark of protesthttps://t.co/89GqzBgZGr

In light of the same situation, this guy called Bollywood actors pseudo patriots and role models of hypocrisy.
Many Bollywood actors have set up a flourishing industry of pseudo-patriotism. They do transactions in black, but lecture us to support PM’s fight against black money, take Canadian and US citizenships and blame us for being anti nationals. They are the role models of hypocrisy

Someone even asked Kangana why did she not take down her movie from Pakistani cinemas if she is such a nationalist.
I just want to ask so called naitionalism queen kangana ranaut that she teachs every one nationalism lessons and how she forgot to bann her movie manikarnika in pakistan after that pulwama attack from terroristan

It looks like Kangana is not alone in her blind patriotism. Veteran actor Anupam Kher also thinks along the same lines. However, the producers of his recent movie, ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan and were all praises for the Pakistani censor board for letting the movie play in cinemas across Pakistan.
Feeling extremely sad and angry. More than 40 @crpfindia jawans martyred. Millions of thoughts in my mind. I hope The govt. deals with the terrorists befittingly. Also time for certain people in our own country who criticise the army to SHUT UP. pic.twitter.com/mZSgExsxQJ

This person wants to know if Anupam Kher has donated all the profit he made from his movie.
I ask you again @AnupamPKher – have you donated the entire proceeds of The Accidental Prime Minister to the Pulwama victims? And while we are at it, why has Kangana Ranaut not withdrawn her movie from Pakistan. #Hypocrites

This was done, of course, while dragging Kangana as well.
Someone called such actors ‘fashionable nationalists’ who change according to seasons and situations.
The so called Fashionable Nationalist "Kangana Ranaut" released her Movie @ManikarnikaFilm with association with @ZEECorporate in Pakistan & here in India giving lectures on #BoycottPakistan in every front.

As time passes, the situation only seems to be getting worse. Moreover, the hateful statements by prominent Bollywood actors like Kangana and Anupam are only adding fuel to the fire.
