Pakistan and India’s rivalry is pretty well known.

The countries have been involved in varying stages of conflict ever since they were born, way back in 1947 and have even fought a couple full fledged wars.

The whole world is aware of the rivalry.

The biggest display of this is always on the cricket field.

It is, after all, a battle field in which the two countries can engage in some “friendly fire”.

And in the upcoming showdown on March 19 in Kolkata, India the two teams are meeting again.

Tensions are rising.

So are passions.

And everyone in South Asia is bathed in their national colors.

Some, however, are doing things a little differently.

People from the two countries are adorning their Facebook profiles with the Profile Frames of the opposing side in order to show their support for the game, and help give peace a chance in the process, using the hashtag #ProfilesForPeace

Well, the founder of Facebook and the King of Internet, Mark Zuckerberg, just gave a nod to this.

Zuckerberg said, “when we designed the profile frames feature, we just wanted to help people show support for their favorite teams or a cause they believe in. But this story shows that the more connected we are, the more we realize that what unites us is more important than what divides us.”

And the fans have gone crazy

People on both sides have been trying to do what their governments don’t, for quite a while now. It is high time we all give peace a chance.

Here’s to more #ProfilesForPeace.
