Ehd-e-Wafa has finally come to an end, with all its emotional highs and lows. It beautifully captured the journey of four friends, through their careers, struggles, conflicts, and love lives. After months and months of speculation of who’s going to die in the end, we are so glad that (MAJOR SPOILER ALERT) the infamous SSG is intact. So let’s go through the iconic moments we witnessed in the finale:

The episode started when Rani told Shahzain that he’s going to be a father

Rani being classic Rani, narrated poetry to break the news.

”Phir kuch is dil ko beqarari hai

Beykhudi beysabab nahi galib

Asal mein mera paon bhaari hai.”

This one literally cracked me up lol.

Major Humayun made an appearance

I mean…I guess we’re just rolling with this, then?

Major Humayun recalled the time when he interviewed Abhinandan, and we got to witness the ”fantastic” exchange

Some serious shit went down in that interrogation room. Also, major Humayun revealed that the viral ”tea is fantastic” video was shot by an officer after Abhinandan had disclosed literally everything in the interrogation. Badass!

We had an ”Ameesh Goswami” as well

If you think the drama would only take a dig at Abhinandan, you were wrong. Arna- sorry – Ameesh Goswami was hosting a show in which he was blaming Pakistan for all the stuff happening in India.

The actor playing the role did a pretty great portrayal, except that he was a lot less rude than the actual one.

Malik Shahzain joined in the Goswami’s show and raised a very valid question, ”India mein ye sab elections kay aas paas hi kyun hota hai?”

100 points for that one! Malik Shahzain also questioned the sanity of Indian democracy that allowed the Citizenship Amendment Act, violence on protesting students, extremism with minorities and what not.

Shahzain 1. Goswami 0.

The only eligible bachelor Shehryar finally found the courage to confess his love to Masooma, who by the way became a college professor.

Before crossing LOC to rescue an injured soldier, Saad handed over a necklace to Gulzar with names Saad and Salaar on it.

He told Gulzar that he wanted to name his baby Salaar, and wanted him to join the army.

Oh, God. Last wishes!

The best surprise of the entire episode was that Captain Saad didn’t die!

After the nerve-wracking scene of him crossing LOC and getting shot while bringing back the injured soldier, he got operated on by his wife. And he survived the surgery! This was exactly the opposite of what the entire nation was expecting. But we are so, so glad we didn’t need a ton of tissue papers.

The SSG reunited at the Lawrence College and every one of them was invited for a speech. Malik Shahzain ended his speech with ”Friends are the family you choose. So choose wisely.”

The episode ended with the SSG reliving their time from college days.

Absolutely gratifying!

And this is how the SSG came full circle after everything they went through. So did you like the last episode? Are you happy that Saad is alive? Let us know in the comments!
