At 4:42pm Pakistan Time, flight PK 661 crashed on its way from Chitral to Islamabad. The crash happened near Abbotabad, in a mountain. There were 47 passengers on board, including flight crew.

Among those 47, was 90’s singing sensation and recent evangelist, Junaid Jamshed

As soon as news of Junaid Jamshed being on board the fateful flight broke, everyone was overcome with grief

Unfortuantely, that azaan video is actually false

This video from YouTube user Schahzad Amin was uploaded on October 12, 2014. It is title “Beautiful Azaan by Junaid Jamshed during Hajj 2014” and it shows Junaid Jamshed doing the call to prayer with another famous religious figure, Tariq Jamil, sitting behind him.

We are not sure if there is an actual last azaan video, or if Junaid Jamshed gave a last call to prayer in Chitral but this one being shared on social media is definitely not it.
