Doctors thought this woman had passed away when brought to a hospital in Karachi, but that was far from the truth.

We often hear about medical cases that highlight medical negligence. However, this time around, I’m truly shocked, though I’m sure this isn’t the first time this is happening. Basically, a woman who was initially declared dead by the doctors at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi…came back to life.

According to reports, 50-year-old Rasheeda was suffering from paralysis and was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi. The doctors who were treating her declared her dead and issued a death certificate.

Rasheeda’s ‘dead body’ was then shifted to cold storage

While narrating the incident, Rasheeda’s daughter-in-law stated, “Her body had been shifted to the morgue for 20 minutes and we had started giving her a funeral bath.”

Later, a woman in the room mentioned that the limbs of the body were moving. She continued by saying, ” We then hurriedly checked her pulse to find out that she was still breathing.”

After the family members figured out that she was still alive, Rasheeda was shifted again to the same hospital.

Treatment of the patient started again but unfortunately, Rasheeda did eventually pass away

Dr Salma Kausar announced the death of the patient and mentioned that Rasheeda came back to life, but passed away eventually. She also mentioned that a formal death certificate will be issued in some time.

This is not the first time that a person declared dead by the doctors has come back to life. A few years back, a pregnant woman in Karachi suddenly sat up while she was being given a bath by the Edhi mortuary workers.
