Srha Asgr shared her weight loss struggles

Up and coming actress Srha Asgr has not shied away from talking about her incredible weight loss journey

Srha was born in Karachi on October 9th. She was raised by single mother after her father passed away due to cardiac arrest when she was only about 4 to 5 months old. Srha has done her bachelor’s from SZABIST where her major was film making.

 

Srha opened up about the hurdles that she had to face during the journey

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “It is not easy and it will definitely make you cry over and over again through the entire process. I have been through very tough times during my journey, specially when you have to balance your studies, work life, home life and of course the kick ass competition on daily basis. But you know what all these years I made sure to show/prove to all those people who have let me down, who thought I will never make it, who constantly made fun of me, call me with names and thought I would give up.”

 

While talking to MangoBaaz, Srha shared how she achieved such a commendable transformation

She shared, “my height is 5’2 and the i weighed around 62-65 kgs which is obese for my body type and obviously i was heavy 7 years back. It took me good 5 years to lose weight after several fails and trials.”

She went on to add that she always secretly wished to be an actor but losing weight had nothing to do with her weight-loss journey – what she did, she did solely for herself.

 

Srha Asgr also shared what routine she followed to achieve her ideal weight

“I used to do workouts from an online page called “bodyrock.tv”. They used to be interval workouts (which i still follow) but then i was realizing after my constant effort at workout, I am still not losing weight, why. The reason was because i was not coping up with a healthy diet. Somewhere i was going wrong on my diet. What worked for me was/is high protein and low carb diet. I hardly eat rice and roti even though I am fan of breads! (I save them for my cheat days). So i eat eggs, lamb meat, and loads of vegetables (raw and boiled both). I eat salads with almost no sauce because sauces can be high calorie,” said Srha while speaking about her journey.

She continued, “I get up early do my workouts at home. I have loads of water the entire day. I keep myself active, use stairs instead of elevators. I make sure I sleep 8 hours a day. I also do intermittent fasting twice a week.”

 

To everyone wanting to lose weight, Srha Asgr also gave an inspirational message to help them

She said, “It was a very very long journey, the longer it is the steady it will be. So if you are not there, don’t worry you will be there. Don’t give up. Don’t do it for others, do it for yourself. Learn to love yourself. I know you all can do it.”
