Taher Shah’s “Angel” took the internet by a storm earlier this week, reaching mad views, climbing to the top of world twitter trends and gaining attention from international audiences and publications, alike. Pakistanis shared mixed reviews on the lyrics, the hairstyle, the unshaven chest, the many wardrobe choices, the cinematography – pretty much everything visually and otherwise.
Amidst all this, Ali Zafar hopped on the bandwagon to present his mellow-er rendition of “AINJAL”.
With background score borrowed from sentimental pakistani dramas, Ali Zafar read his piece, pausing every now and then for added emphasis.
The Pakitani rockstar was classy throughout, reading the lyrics aloud while glaring through the screen, right into your soul.
That finish, though.
Fans thought this was a treat
Some even compared Taher Shah to the likes of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber.
