Army Public School Peshawar students recently arrived at the Dubai airport for Pakistan Super League

And here’s the story of their incredible journey…

After the nation reeled in shock from the tragic and absolutely unforgivable events that unfolded on December 16, 2014 in Peshawar at the Army Public School, much was said about the surviving students being scarred for life and how rehabilitation would be a gargantuan task to help them recover from the immense trauma.

Everyone showed their love and support

Telling the students that they aren’t alone. Even as the first anniversary rolled around last December, the nation remembered the fallen souls with memorials all across the country.

Peshawar Zalmi, being the home team of the city where the unfortunate school is also located, kept the students in their thoughts

It was with the help of APS students that the team unveiled their logo.

In fact the whole franchise was dedicated to the students and teachers of APS by the franchise owner and Haier Pakistan CEO Javed Afridi.

Recently it was announced that Peshawar Zalmi will sponsor about 150 children and staff from the unfortunate APS to attent the Pakistan Super League in Dubai

And with this announcement the team won the hearts of Pakistanis

They may not have won the tournament yet but they sure have won in the eyes of everyone at home.

It was further revealed that Shahid ‘Boom Boom’ Afridi is receiving the students at the Dubai airport

Afridi, along with team mates and officials, were spotted at the airport waiting to receive the arriving APS students.
