After Pakistani BTS ARMYs campaigned to get BTS’ latest upcoming film Bring The Soul: The Movie to Pakistan, we got the amazing news that it would be playing across various different cities in the country. This was more than we could have imagined but it made sense since the cinema chain Cinepax would be screening it and they already have a network of cinemas established in various Pakistani cities.

And Pakistani ARMYs were incredibly excited and thankful.

The excitement all came from the fact that this was a long time coming. Pakistani K-Pop fans rarely ever get anything.

And now we finally had the opportunity to watch the BTS movie on the big screen, with our fellow ARMY friends and bond over our mutual adoration for our favorite band.

But of course, there was a downside to this as well. And the downside in this situation was the confusion that settled in. According to several people, ticketing for the movie had opened, A MONTH IN ADVANCE. Which is unheard of? Usually, pre-booking for tickets opens up a week before the movie is set to premiere.

The official Bring The Soul website did not show that ticketing had been opened but Cinepax’s own website was letting people purchase tickets.

And then there were people who went to get tickets physically as well. So ticketing had been opened but the website kept crashing and wouldn’t let some people purchase tickets. Which lead to a lot of people thinking the movie was already sold out.

And when several people called Cinepax’s helpline there were various conflicting responses that were received.

Some BTS ARMYs who went to physically get tickets. Others who called the helpline were told that Cinepax had only opened booking so far in advance was to see if they would sell and might even reschedule the movie timings. This means those who bought the tickets might not be watching the movie on the day or time they bought the tickets for.

The various statements everyone was getting, including being told that ticketing hadn’t officially opened yet, caused a lot of problems and panic among Pakistani ARMYs who thought that the movie was already sold out. And even right now, there is no clarity.

They know the popularity and interest for the movie is there, but they still refuse to give one uniform statement on the issue ARMYs are facing.

I reached out to higher management at Cinepax cinemas but none of them have officially responded to my queries.

Honestly, I don’t know whether I should get a ticket, just to have it be rescheduled. But I also don’t want to run the risk of having the movie sold out and missing out on this once in a lifetime experience as a Pakistani ARMY. It is incredibly unfair that Cinepax is not giving us more clarity and has not officially announced ticketing being opened and giving everyone different answers.
