Clearly coach Misbah-Ul-Haq felt the same way about the Pakistan team’s diet as the rest of us.

Earlier this year, Pakistan played in the ICC World Cup and of course, ended up losing. Of course, no one was surprised when Pakistan was out of the tournament, in fact people were shocked they made it that far.

While the team was in England during the World Cup, people noticed they weren’t exactly in their prime fit

One of the things that really upset a lot of Pakistanis and even made for a viral video, was that the team had been indulging themselves in the local food scene in England and were seen eating at burger joints and what not instead of maintaining their discipline. People were shocked at how unfit the team on a whole not only looked but was acting.

Vlogger Momin Saqib’s epic rant about how the team needed to eat better went viral because everyone basically agreed with him.

And the teams behavior and performance during the matches was not any better. Lest we remind you of Sarafaraz Ahmed’s infamous yawn mid match?

Now coach Misbah-ul-Haq has been appointed as the team’s head coach and he’s making some big changes

One of the biggest changes he is reported to be making and the first one is a change to their diet plan. Apparently, the team is not allowed to eat Biryani… and any meetha as well as any ‘oil-rich meats’.

Honestly this is a welcome decision and one you would think was already being implemented? But nope. Misbah is now making sure that the players are fit and represent the country to the best of their physical abilities.

Of course, some people joked about the decision by coach Misbah-Ul-Haq

Others seemed actually happy about it

Hopefully this decision helps the team improve their performance. What are your thoughts about the team being put on a strict diet? Let us know in the comments below.
