After Pakistani’s last match against Bangladesh, a seemingly familiar Indian Twitter account couldn’t hold themselves back.
The Twitter account belongs to Major Surendra Poonia. He is an Armed Forces Veteran, a Gold Medal Athlete, a doctor, and also a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which so happens to be led by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The sarcasm can be smelled all the way from Pakistan and the fake congratulations aren’t good enough to really throw anybody off. I mean I’m pretty salty from just reading this, but someone else felt a little more than we all did.

That snide 5th place comment. That Abhinandan insult. CAN YOU NOT?
In comes, DG ISPR, Major General Asif Ghafoor, with a snappy comeback and he certainly did not hold back.
Basically, the reply was enough to make all of us gasp. DG ISPR saab nai thori thori kar ke kaafi bisti kardi. He wished India good luck for the World Cup and then reminded Surendra Poonia that us Pakistanis don’t mix real issues and conflicts with sports and if any proof is needed, just ask Abhinandan. *shots fired*
He didn’t stop there quite there. He reassured Surendra Poonia the teacup is still with us along with their wrecked MiG21 and “much more.” *wipes sweat beads off of forehead* It’s getting pretty feisty here.
YEH DEKHO
Good luck for WC19. We don’t equate sports with other things esp issues & conflicts. We Pakistanis are truly large at heart, ask Abhinandan. But you can’t understand this as it req moral values,a lacking displayed vs Eng.
Yes, tea cup is with us, also Mig21 wreckage & much more. https://t.co/olyJ9aofgY— Asif Ghafoor (@peaceforchange) July 5, 2019

And that wasn’t all he said, he also separately had an important message for Pakistan and the team.
He reminded everyone that it was just a game and that it is okay now. We should all love and respect the team and welcome them back along with checking over performance to improve for next time. Wow, that’s pretty inspiring if you ask me, very different from the words the Pakistani team had to hear the past few days.
Notwithstanding expectations of better performance, it remains a game. Winning or losing is a part. It’s over. We love & respect our team green and expect the management to have objective performance review for corrections. Welcome back home.@TheRealPCB

Some critique will certainly be offered once they come back to Pakistan
Umm… not sure if I agree, but okay.
