Malala Yousafzai has always been a subject of contentious debate. While many of us are impressed by her bravery and her views which aim to propagate the culture of equality for women in Pakistan, many people in our country criticize her for leaving Pakistan and, beginning a life elsewhere. Malala often seems to trigger negative reactions among Pakistanis with every move she makes. A similar kind of incident has occurred again but this time, it’s the Indians who are criticizing Malala Yousafzai.
So, basically, an agency celebrated the power of women who have positively impacted the world with their self-expression
The message conveyed by the forum was to highlight the efforts done by a bunch of women who have contributed to change the world through their unapologetic presence. The aim of the campaign was to encourage people to be the most authentic version of their selves.
Malala Yousafzai was included in the list covering the influential women across the globe. The quote written on Malala’s image read, ” I am stronger than fear.”
It seemed that the people weren’t really happy with the inclusion of Malala to the list. A majority of Indians boldly expressed their views and stated that Malala has not done anything to influence the masses positively.
People sarcastically pointed out that Malala was stronger than fear, therefore she left her country
A low-blow really. She was unsafe here.
They labeled her as the epitome of double standards
People stated that Malala’s story is being used by NGOs to earn money. They also said that the other girl involved in the same incident got no coverage
They even accused her of fleeing her own country because she couldn’t face her problems
Indians went on to state that Malala Yousafzai is extremely overrated
They alleged that Malala’s story is deeply linked with hypocrisy
People said that Malala was nothing but a mere scammer who managed to win Nobel Prize
They argued that fear is the reason which has caused Malala to preach her message in the liberal countries only
