Iqra Aziz in Jhooti is being questioned for perpetuating problematic views
Pakistani dramas tend to be problematic, and are often called out for the same in today’s day and age of social media. The same has happened with the Iqra Aziz starrer Jhooti, an upcoming show that also stars Yasir Hussain and Ahmed Ali Butt in lead roles. The drama hasn’t come out yet but a promo just dropped.

In the teaser clip, we see a bruised Iqra Aziz calling out men for the abuse of power. On the verge of tears, she points at her bruises as proof of what her horrible husband did to her. When she is about to burst in tears, we see a speck of deceit in her eyes. The next few glimpses indicate that her character may have done this to herself. Finally, she applauds herself, as she was rehearsing in front of a mirror.
