Earlier today the K-Electric Twitter account informed their followers that their team was going to rescue a cat.

It was a simple tweet

No fuss, not much details and no pictures to accompany(that one is not good, K-Electric).

But the Pakistan Animal Welfare Society(PAWS) tweeted this

And Twitter came abuzz with excitement over this rescue that was awaited for a year

Yes, the cat that was stuck in a well was waiting to get out of it’s dark dungeon of captivity for a whole year. Poor creature.

The K-Electric Team soon reached their rescue destination

And got into their positions with their equipment and personnel.

One hero from K-Electric, Sikander Baloch, took it upon himself to descend into this dark abyss that held the poor cat for a whole year

If you think this is no big deal, the well was 110 feet deep

And special lifting equipment was used to descend the feline’s hero into the well who was also secured in place with braces and gloves and a whole lot of other rescue gear in case this descend didn’t go well.

But all’s well that ends well and finally the cat was rescued safely and brought back to land

And everyone was happy

Well, maybe not everyone

Some people are never satisfied, amirite?

Good job K-Electric, and maybe other cities’ electric supply companies can learn from K-Electric that good PR can do wonders for your reputation even if you aren’t supplying bijli twenty four hours.
