While the ongoing farmers’ protest in India has been earning itself violent criticism from the Modi government and followers, people from all around the globe are coming forward to question the role of the Indian government in this scenario.
The queen of our hearts and international music icon Rihanna just casually highlighted the farmers’ protest in India yesterday
She questioned why the world wasn’t talking about the issue and especially the role of Indian government in cutting internet access around the captial – New Delhi – where these farmers (mostly rural, Sikh and of Punjabi communities), were protesting against oppressive new laws.
why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest https://t.co/obmIlXhK9S

Rihanna’s tweet immediately caught the attention of Modi bhakts and they were quick to retaliate

One such Modi bhakt was Indian actress Kangana Ranaut who tried to call out Rihanna by giving her an understanding of how things were
Kangana resorted to ‘name-calling’ by calling Rihanna a ‘fool and a dummy’ while portraying the farmers as terrorists. She also apparently made it a case of China being behind the farmers’ protest so that it could divide India just like it had apparently, in Kangana’s understanding made USA a Chinese colony.

Of course, Kangana Ranaut calling Rihanna, the queen of our hearts, a “fool” did not sit well with the internet
Kangana is trying to punch waaaay above her weight class with Rihanna and I can't wait to see how she gets dragged 💀💀💀💀

Internet sleuths even tried to tell Kangana how it was she only recently who tried to fangirl over Rihanna, by bringing up her past tweets, but Kangana was not having it
Oye tattu I took over my account in August last year before that it was a team fan page, mujhe na pop music samajh aata hai nahi main English gaane zyaada sunti hoon. Soja aab ho gaya tera …

People have been wondering how Kangana Ranaut will try to milk this issue with Rihanna but most of all, everyone’s excited for her to be dragged so bad by Rihanna fans

For the uninitiated, here’s why the farmers in India are protesting and why Kangana Ranaut is trying to go after Rihanna for highlighting their struggle
The Modi Government brought into enactment, in September 2020, certain laws regarding major reforms in the agriculture sector of India. These laws faced massive criticism from the farmers, primarily belonging to Punjab, for exploiting their blood and sweat. The farmers, thus resorted to coming out of their homes in order to protest against the laws with demands for their annulment.
Modi Government, in return, provided no consolation to the farmers out in cold and proceeded to ban the internet in order to suppress the voices of the farmers. You may recall the farmers trying to stage a major protest on India’s Republic Day on January 26 when they tried to replace the Indian flag with the farmers’ union and Sikh religious flags on the Red Fort in the capital of India.
What’s good is that while Indian Government has tried to silence these farmers’ protest, thanks to Rihanna they’re now one of the biggest topic on the internet
Ever since Rihanna’s comments, the farmers’ protests are the biggest topic on Pakistani and Indian social media so it’s safe to say, thanks to Rihanna’s question, more people are finally talking about it.
As far as the farmers struggling for their rights are concerned, the Modi Government’s silence and ignorance on this issue are somewhat concerning. People on the internet and even from across the border are lending a hand of support by raising their voices against the unjust treatment of the Indian government towards the farmers.
Anyways, If you have anything to say about this alarming state of treatment towards the Indian farmers, let us know in the comments below.
