If you didn’t already know, this Wednesday night is quite possibly the biggest night in Karachi (well, in terms of parties).

Why, you ask? Because, the biggest, most artistic and decadently indulgent party is happening on Wednesday and you can get an invite, through MangoBaaz and our grapevine (lol, you thought we’d actually be sending you invites? cute).

So, what exactly is happening at this party hosted by Magnum and why is it the biggest night for everyone who’s anyone in Karachi? Let’s find out:

There’s dance

Wahab Shah, one of the most prolific names in contemporary dance in Pakistan, will be directing an Acrobatic dance performance along with a surprise performance that’s supposed to be unlike anything before in Pakistan (whatever it is, we’re excited because it sounds CRAZY fantastic), and given the portfolio of amazing performances Wahab has, we’re pretty sure he has another kickass outing in store for us.

Natasha Jozi, a performance artist who works with visual mediums as well as performance art. Her work focuses mostly on relationship between ‘Self’ and the ‘Other’ through religious, cultural and social experience, exploring the ideas of veil, ritual and language. She creates sensorial embodied experiences in her video and performance works.

Art

For anyone who is an art connoisseur, particularly Pakistani art is in for a treat at this party. Artists like Irfan Hasan, Aamir Habib, Maria Khan, Muzammil Raheel and Adeela Badshah will be featuring this art during this party and the attendees may well get to interact with the creators and discuss art with them while chomping on some chocolaty Magnum delicacies.

Fashion

No cool party is done without a dose of some high fashion and this party in Karachi will have its fair share of some classy fashion. Of course, the attendees will be gracing the event with their couture gowns and tuxes, but four eminent Pakistani fashion designers will also be putting up a fashion presentation.

And the four amazing designers are Kareena Kapoor’s bestie Faraz Manan, the decadent Ali Xeeshan, the queen of Pakistani Couture Nilofer Shahid and the luxurious Shamaeel Ansari.

The theme for the party this year is surrealism. Surrealism is very eccentric, then again, so are these creative legends. We’re expecting some really outrageous, illogical, mind-bending art infused with fashion. These designs won’t be about wearabel fashion. No no. This is all about making a statement.

Mystery…

The “Rockstar” Ali Zafar is performing at the party so there’s really nothing more exciting that could be happening. However, we’re not exactly sure what he’s up to because it’s supposed to be a “surreal” performance. Whatever that’s supposed to mean. Since we’ll be at the even, we’ll fill you in of course.

Maybe Ali will also bring along his brother Danyal Zafar and Danyal’s bestie, Momina Mustehsan? One can dream right?

Celebrities… and loads of them

Wherever there’s a party, celebrities are sure to make an appearance. After all, they’re what bring the glamour and bling to any shindig. And, oh laawd, the celebrities that could be gracing this event?

The Janaan funny boy, Ali Rehman Khan may make an appearance.

Maybe the attendees will even get a chance to rub their shoulders with the hotties Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi?

And maybe even, these two love birds.

And lots and lots of chocolate

Well, the party is by Magnum so of course there’s going to be chocolate. And lots and lots and lots of it.

We’re not exactly sure what’s happening at this moment, it’s all just rumors. From what we can speculate from our inside sources, maybe there’s a chocolate shower? Or maybe a water fight, except with chocolate? Maybe there’ll be a giant pool of chocolate with people swimming in it? One thing’s for sure, there’ll be a Magnum Bar. Mmmmm, gimme that chocolate all over me NOM NOM NOM.

We’re going to be stocking up on Magnums to troll Instagram for this party’s pictures, what about you?
