If you’re a Manchester United fan, you’re going to have to wait even longer to celebrate any of the glory the club experienced under Sir Alex Furgeson who retired at the end of the 2012-13 season.
First came David Moyes, then he got sacked. Then came Louis Van Gaal (after the caretaker period of Giggs), then he too got sacked. Then came ‘the chosen one’ Jose Mourinho.
Now, Jose just got sackedย ๐ฅ
Jose’s time at Manchester United has been pretty tumultuous, to say the least. With such high expenditure in the transfer window, he was always under significant scrutiny. And looks like Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool was when Manchester United realized the special one wasn’t as special as they’d hoped.
A caretaker manager is expected to be announced soon and apparently, Manchester United have their eyes set on Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as the next manager.
Chances are slim of that happening though, but with the right amount of money, you never know ๐
According to ESPN FC, Mourinho was informed of the decision on Tuesday morning.
Mourinho once called Arsene Wenger a master at failure. Looks like his words are coming back to haunt him this time around, given his string of failures (although he’s definitely collecting a shit ton of money through his severance packages).

Things don’t look like they’re going to bode well for Manchester United fans, as the club stands 6th in the table and look to miss out from Champions League action next year. Mourinho has been a polarizing figure at Manchester United though, so there are going to be a lot of fans who welcome the decision. Where do you stand? Let us know in the comments section below.
