1. Tell us more about ‘Local’ – and how did starting such an innovative business came to your mind?

To be honest, the way this world changed in the past few years it seemed the only way forward. Everything we need was always here. We just needed to focus.

2. How do you see this venture helping local farmers?

With our recipes and their fresh produce we hope to get more and more people to start buying from them, which in turn would increase their productivity and livelihood.

3. You are embracing a culture of local sourcing, how do you think it is helping the community generally?

It helps everyone especially in these trying times. We need to help each other grow and this was a good way to do it. It is mutually beneficial.

4. And what are the implications/ limitations of such ventures when seen in broader perspective?

What we are hoping for is to bring about a change in the general mindset that local things are not as cool as imported ones. We need to break this notion.

In the broader perspective, we hope to see people eating more fresh, healthy and clean food.

5. Since Pakistan being a home to some of most flavorful produce in the world, the foodies out there would really like to know what ingredients you can easily buy locally?

We can buy almost everything we need locally. We have added the details of our vendors for Farm fresh eggs, honey, shukkar  and for the organic vegetables, on our menu .

So we love the Beetroot Ravioli, the Chicken Risotto which is with local risotto rice, the mushroom and Swiss burger, and caresse salad! Actually we love our menu and we want people to try everything out since they are yummy and unique dishes in their own way!

7. Our country is in need of such ventures indeed. So what are your future plans once you achieve a local and sustainable supply chain?

We are very excited about this venture and have a lot of fun plan ahead but maybe give this some time and then we shall talk about that!
