So, recently an Indian mountaineering team claimed that footprints of the ‘Yeti’ were spotted in the snow. Yeti is an ancient mythical creature and is also known as ‘Glacier being’.
The Indian army had announced finding the Yeti has a huge claim
They had broken this news via their official Twitter account and said that footprints of the Yeti in the snow, measuring 32×15 inches were spotted close to an isolated area between Nepal and Tibet.
For the first time, an #IndianArmy Moutaineering Expedition Team has sited Mysterious Footprints of mythical beast 'Yeti' measuring 32×15 inches close to Makalu Base Camp on 09 April 2019. This elusive snowman has only been sighted at Makalu-Barun National Park in the past. pic.twitter.com/AMD4MYIgV7

The government of Nepal has now officially dismissed the claims by the Indian army and have clarified that these are the footprints of a wild bear
Nepal’s Army spokesperson stated that “A team of Indian Army had noticed the footprints and our liaison team was together with them. We tried to ascertain the fact, but locals and porters claimed that it is the footprints of a wild bear that frequently appear in that area.

Even before the rejection of the claims by the Government of Nepal, the Indian army was trolled by everyone on the social media
People trolled that the Indian Navy would announce the discovery of the loch-ness monster in the sea
I’m looking forward to the Indian Navy’s official handle tweeting about having found the Loch Ness Monster, and a former BJP MP ticking them off for using the un-Indian word “monster.” pic.twitter.com/pXgciqMzmQ

Indians themselves stated that such claims by Indian army have deeply embarrassed the nation
This is deeply, deeply embarrassing: whoever in the Indian Army’s PR has circulated this is disgracing the institution, and India, in the world’s eyes. https://t.co/f11OvolnUb

Political jokes were made around the situation
Narendra Modi: I have 2 tasks for u. Choose the easiest
Indian Army: Sure Sir
Narendra Modi: Find some development work my Govt has done in Last 5 Years or Find Yeti
Indian Army: Sir, we are immediately deploying a Team to Himalayas— Joy (@Joydas) May 1, 2019

Indians wondered if this Yeti story was a different way to troll Indian Airforce for their claim of shooting down the Pakistani F-16
While Pakistanis made sure to make Adnan Sami jokes
We desis love to fat shame so this one landed straight in our laps.

People said they were shocked why the Indian Army DID NOT refer to these prints as the prints of a Pakistani F-16
They even said that the Indian army is just a bunch of jokers
People said that after the fake surgical strikes, this is another Indian discovery which deserves a Nobel prize for being such an entertainment for everyone on the Internet
After novelistic Bollywood style surgical strike 1 and 2 in #Balakot here comes the most heroic discovery #Yeti . #IndianArmy deserve the noble price for such entertainment stories and scripts 😂 pic.twitter.com/SbsfhsXZRS
