To say that 2020 has been chaotic would be an understatement. Life amidst a pandemic is something none of us have ever really considered or prepared for and let’s be real; it’s been tough, you guys. We’ve spent a good chunk of this year in uncertainty because of the unfamiliar circumstances that have unfolded globally. This is why, NORMAL seasonal change almost comes with a wave of relief and a rush of excitement, as has the snowfall in Northern Pakistan.
Most parts of Northern Pakistan received their first snowfall of the season on Saturday and officially ushered in the sardi season!

While the rest of us can just wistfully and enviously watch these absolutely magical scenes, the resentment can simmer down because thaand puray Pakistan may parni waali hai. WOO HOO.
The snow seems to be already working its winter magic and the rest of the country also seems to be basking in the winter glow, specifically Punjab.

This is especially good news for the people residing in a smog-ridden Lahore who can now finally breathe a sigh of relief. Or well…breathe in general.
Baarish in Lahore is a mood of its own. 😍

The snow in Northern Pakistan has brought forth with it so many good tidings and while we can’t help but swoon over how completely breathtaking this sublime sight is, it’s important to be mindful of those who are less fortunate and have to brave these extreme weather conditions with limited rations.
While we enjoy the stunning settings, the dismal state of infrastructure in most parts of the northern areas is worrisome for many and we can just hope that an improvement in these areas occurs soon so that all folks may be able to enjoy the incredible snowfall.
