TikTok videos have been a perfect source of entertainment. People have thoroughly enjoyed the lip-syncing videos and the number of users of the app has significantly increased due to the hype in the country. Despite this, the Federal Minister for Information, Shibli Faraz has given a clear hint that PM Imran Khan is planning to impose a ban on TikTok.

Recently, while talking to the press, the Federal Minister for Information, Shibli Faraz stated that in order to control the rise of obscenity and vulgarity, PM Imran Khan aims to ban TikTok

The minister said that PM Imran Khan is extremely concerned regarding the degradation of the social fabric of the country. He has expressed his concerns over the growing vulgarity in the country. He also said that the relevant authorities have been informed that apps like TikTok are messing with the basic social values of the country.

Shibli Faraz explained that PM Khan has spent a long time of his life in the West and this has made him understand the true strength of the religious and cultural values of our country

In his words, “He (Imran Khan) is a man who has spent his life in the West and thus understands the strength of our social and cultural values, which must be protected.”

While in conversation with The News, Shilbi Faraz pointed out that PM Imran Khan discussed this issue with him on multiple occasions (around 15 or 16 times) and asked for a strategy to monitor the vulgarity being spread in society through such mainstream platforms and apps.

The minister talked about the previous warning issued to TikTok which ordered it to filter out any obscene content and the internet operators have been asked to ensure that no immoral content is available to the users.
