“I would love to run for Prime Minister of India. I would love Nick to run for President,” Priyanka confessed in an interview to ‘The Sunday Times, India.’

The actress said “I don’t like the things associated with politics, but I know that both of us really want to make a change. Never say never.” She admitted to always remaining apolitical and instead “cheer[ed] for humanity,” and also said that her husband would be a fantastic leader; “he’s not afraid to use the word feminist and I love that.”

Imagining Priyanka as India’s next PM is a bit worrying, considering her problematic statements…

Priyanka Chopra joined in with her fellow Bollywood actors in celebrating India’s crossing of the sensitive LOC between Pakistani and Indian Occupied Kashmir and received a sturdy amount of backlash for it. Being the UNICEF goodwill ambassador, her tweet offended many, and there was even a petition that was made to remove her from the position of ambassador.

Priyanka’s subsequent tweet about New Zealand was an example of hypocrisy in its finest; “if you stand against violence, let it be across the board.”

I wouldn’t want her in that position of power to be very honest.
