Saboor Aly just shockingly uploaded an Instagram story whereby she was seen mocking a person who was cleaning the windows.
Update:
It has come to our notice that the said person is the DOP/ Assistant Director on set. The joke, however, is still problematic because his actual profession was an inside joke and Saboor’s mockery came off as insensitive without context.
The actress posted a 30-second video on her account whereby she was seen sitting mid-take with actors Saheefa Jabbar Khattak and Affan Waheed.
In the video, Saboor was recording the window cleaner as he cleaned a window laughing and she said “kya khwaab dekh ker iss ki ma ne issey ghar se bheja tha.”
She asks Saheefa her opinion on the window cleaner, who responds with a laugh and also involves herself in making fun of the man.
Saboor asked Affan what he thought, and he responded by saying that “mehnat kar raha hai.”
Affan looked a bit uncomfortable and did not partake in the mockery.

What’s upsetting is that we already live in a highly classist society and for actors like Saboor who have an influential voice in Pakistan, to demean someone for the work they do is both unacceptable and disgusting to the highest degree. Sorry Saboor, but this is honestly despicable of you, and there really isn’t any going back.
