So it isn’t really uncommon news that Shoaib Malik has retired from any further World Cup tournaments. The news was spread like wildfire and Pakistanis initially did not give him the love he deserved after his long and successful career.

After his retirement announcement, he was not given the proper farewell that he deserved.

During the recent World Cup, Shoaib Malik expected to play the last game in the match against Bangladesh but was not put on the list to bat. This caused a lot of emotions amongst Pakistanis and many gave him the love he deserved.

In comes his dear wife, Sania Mirza, with a heartfelt message for him on Twitter.

I mean if this isn’t the cutest thing you have ever seen, I don’t know what would be.

The message starts off with, “Every story has an end, but in life, every ending is a new beginning”

Then she goes on to say, “[You] have proudly played for your country for 20 years and [you ]continue to do so with so much honor and humility”

I mean the man has devoted 20 years of his life for the sport and for his country. It’s so important to point out how long he was on the team and for how long he struggled to build the team and become a part of it as well.

She concluded with, “Izhaan and I are so proud of everything you have achieved but also for who [you are]”

Shoaib Malik hasn’t publicly responded yet, but Pakistanis had a lot to say.
