The latest ‘Game of Thrones’ episode has had some mixed reactions. From the dimly lit scenes to Jon Snow’s rather inactive participation. Yes, he did ride a dragon and fought off many of the resurrected dead on the battlefield, yet it somehow felt a little adhoora.
The worst bit was when he began yelling at the undead dragon.
It was right towards the end when it felt like everything was over, and the White Walkers had won.

I feel like Jon Snow is tired of this world and wants to exit immediately, because I don’t see how having a screaming contest with a dragon was a brilliant idea. A whole King in the Norf uno.

People genuinely thought that Jon Snow has lost the plot.
Still laughing at Jon Snow who stood in front of the ice dragon and started screaming like it’s going to scare the dragon away. Idiot.

Well, according to one fan on Reddit, there was a good reason for the yelling.
According to this fan, Jon screamed at the dragon as a distraction tactic. It seems as though he might have spotted Arya trying to get to Bran, so to help her get past the dragon, Jon screamed at it. The exact post read:
“Jon Snow screamed at the undead dragon to distract it so Arya can run past and kill the Night King. The undead dragon was protecting the entrance to the Godswood. Watch it again, you can actually hear him scream “GOOOOO – GO – GO”. 10 seconds later the scene you can see the hair of a White Walker flying up when Arya sprints past the group of White Walkers. Jon once again was ready to sacrifice himself to kill the Night King.
Prove me wrong.”
There were many who chose to believe this theory.
There was some mention of Bran and his ability to turn things a certain way.
Many people did not buy this at all.
The time period just didn’t fit.
The mind believes what it wants to.
Staunch Arya fans were also having a hard time accepting this.
What the fuck is this reaching ass theory about Jon Snow distracting a dragon? lol he’s just screaming he doesn’t know Arya was anywhere near there, she did it on her own jfc pic.twitter.com/CAAEZ5kTW6

It did seem like a strange move for Jon to stand up and shout out at the undead dragon, he definitely knew that he had no chance against it, so one does wonder what provoked him to do this. However, that being said, the fact that he saw Arya, distracted the dragon and that between that moment, and the dragon dying, Arya kills the Night King, seems very unlikely just given simple physics. She would have to run SUPER fast to make that distance, and then also stealthily sneak up behind the Night King for enough time to ‘surprise’ him and kill him.
Truly, at that point of the show, it seemed like the North was on the verge of falling. The ‘scream’ seemed more like a last-ditch effort, but given how emotionally attached people have become to ‘Game of Thrones’, I guess everyone is trying to find meaning and ending that gives them comfort.
