Having marked the milestone of two historic decades, LUX Style Awards has evolved into a “Soap for the stars of Pakistan,” now gearing up to celebrate the 20th year of Pakistan’s unrivaled annual awards and showcase the cult classics and the underrated gems of Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

The nation’s only longest-standing, neutral award show has never failed to produce magical moments on stage with iconic dance performances and spectacular tributes to the stars of the Pakistani entertainment industry.

The event has always honored the golden stars of showbiz – some of the popular and prominent being Atif Aslam, Jal the Band, and also Babra Sharif who made her first public appearance at the LSA in 2003. LSA has been celebrating the moments of love, joy and laughter with the emerging talent and veterans across multiple genres for about 20 years in a row, lauding the stars with lifetime achievement awards, followed by stem-winding speeches.

This time around, Geo TV has bagged a total of 25 nominations for roughly about 7 striking drama series. Alif, Raz-e-Ulfat and Deewangi have been nominated for the “Best Drama Series.” Haseeb Hassan for Alif, Siraj-ul-Haq for Raz-e-Ulfat and Zeeshan Ahmed for Deewangi have also been nominated for the “Best Directors” accolade. Among the best writers, Umaira Ahmed and Maha Malik have been gracing the news and also the nominations for Alif and Raz-e-Ulfat respectively. The diva of Pakistani television, Sajal Ali has been nominated for the “Best Actress,” for her jaw-dropping performance in Alif. Other beauties competing with Sajal Ali for the same award are Ayeza Khan for Meher Posh, Hiba Bukhari for Deewangi, Saboor Ali for Fitrat, and Yumna Zaidi for Raz-e-Ulfat, (Rumor has it – Alif is expected to take the babies home!)

Faisal Qureshi is no novice when it comes to acting – obviously, there is no way he could not have been nominated for the “Best Actor,” following his outstanding performance in Muqaddar. The veteran actor competes with Danish Taimoor for Deewangi, Hamza Ali Abbasi for Alif, and Imran Ashraf for Kahin Deep Jalay for the award. LSA also celebrates the emerging talent of Pakistan, having nominated Pahlaj Hassan for Alif and Nazeesh Jahangir for Kahin Deep Jalay.

Who do you think is going to take the award home

LSA also never fails to disappoint the emerging and veteran talent, congratulating the nominees for their outstanding achievements via cute packages.

The fashion choices for the night veer between sleek outfits and ball gowns, dazzling the red carpet in stunning attires and flamboyant looks.
