Stories of inappropriate behavior and lax attitudes with customer service relating to ride-hailing apps are quite common now. Social media is filled with accounts of people who have had bad experiences with one ride-hailing app or another operating in Pakistan, and later on, have not gotten any remedies or just had an unsatisfactory experience with after-service care.
This woman posted about yet another alleged horrendous customer experience.

this is a rant that I’ve been avoiding for awhile but now after recicieving this call, I’ve lost all my patience. This is regarding UBER, the app I use everyday to commute to work. I am going to share the incident here and i want you all to support me on this.

I have been relying on this app @Uber_PKR for a while and was happy with the service. But this recent incident has turned things around.

The driver-partner for her Uber ride was reportedly not only unprofessional but also blamed his inadequate driving skills on her. After the ride had ended, she launched a complaint against the driver-partner.

Since I was already getting late for work, got loan and called him and requested him to come to the pick up point. He said I’m at the the pick up point. I got mad and went to the car, told him he should’ve been in the car with the indicators on so it would’ve been easier for me to find him. I also asked him why he didn’t call me since it’s your job to call after accepting a ride. He goes like i don’t know about that.

I said, haven’t you learned anything in uber training? He gets mad and starts talking shit. I then requested him to just start the ride & get me to my location since I’m already late to work. Then he drove painfully slow, rackless driving & kept using his phone throughout the way

after finally getting to my location, he didn’t drop me at the drop off point, i told him drop me in front of my office. He then didn’t even know how to park the car properly which resulted in him hitting a bike, a car & road block. People started getting mad at him for it.

She noticed the next time she logged on to the app that her account had been disabled.
Upon calling Uber she found out that no action against the driver had been taken. She finally got a call from a man claiming to be an Uber representative who told her that they had received a complaint about her from one their driver-partner and that Uber was calling her to get her side of the story.

i thought they are calling me to finally sort my account issue. But what he told me literally pissed me off. I could not hold my anger I WAS FUMING. The support guy goes like, we have recieved a complaint against you from a captain and we are calling to get your side of the story

According to the person on the call, they had received a complaint about her from their driver-partner who said that she had harassed him by touching him from behind and then asked him to slow down the car and jerk off in front of her.
“The captain has mentioned that during your ride, you touched him from behind and asked him to drive slow and jerk off in front of you”
me, who was already mad, i lost my shit. How fucking disrespectful? How the fuck are they calling me to bullshit stuff like that? WHAT THE FUCK

Explaining the entire incident to the Uber representative over the phone, she then informed the company that she would not be using the app anymore. She mentioned that she was surprised at how they were dealing with her complaint; by accusing her of inappropriate behavior.
I explained the whole situation to @Uber_PKR support guy & told him that I’m deleting the Uber app & am very much disappointed with this behaviour. Is this how you guys respond to our complaints? How dare you even call me and accuse me of shit like that? Do you have any proof?
