Masses went to watch the Final of PSL 7 between Multan Sultan and Lahore Qalander and here are all the unique things that happened at the closing ceremony of the most awaited event in the country.
1. Ramiz Raja’s entry
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja arrived at the field accompanied by young talented children and introduced them as the rising stars of Pakistan. The children will be provided with equipment and trained under PCB junior development program.
2. Hadia Hashmi’s National Anthem
The 11 year old singer, Hadiya Hashmi sang the National Anthem energizing the players and the crowd with her soulful voice followed by fireworks.
3. General Qamar Bajwa spotted in the crowd
As the cricket fever spread across the city to show up at the stadium, General Qamar Bajwa was also seen among the crowd witnessing the final match of PSL 7.
4. PSL trophy came on wheels!
The way the PSL trophy was brought to the stadium by Abdo Feghali, Red Bull globally recognized Drifting athlete caused a wave of extreme zeal among the nation as it was nothing that happened before in Pakistan. It’s amazing to know that the stunt was carried in a safe environment in Lahore city that looks mesmerizing in the video!
5. Shaheen Shah Afridi becomes the youngest T20 winning captain.
After a drought of 6 years, Lahore Qalandars finally managed to win the series making Shaheen Shah Afridi the youngest captain to win T20 series at the age of 21 only.
6. Rizwan earned 2 awards at the PSL 7
Even though Multan Sultan lost the Finals but Rizwan was awarded with the well-deserved Wicket Keeper of the PSL 2022 and the best batsman of PSL 2022.
