Over the weekend, we witnessed one of the greatest moments of history: the Royal Wedding that brought together Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and American actress Meghan Markle who is now the Duchess of Sussex. The wedding was watched by 2 billion worldwide, with more than 100, 000 people who made it to Windsor to witness the wedding of the year, first hand.
We saw the goooorgeous carriage ride around Windsor with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry going around for the first time after their vows
The two also shared an extremely loving moment on the steps of the Church
However, one thing we couldn’t help but notice was that our very own actress, Urwa Hocane, stepped in and compared her shaadi to the Royal Wedding
She put forth quite a few pictures parallel with pictures of the Royal Wedding, comparing the two
Including, but not limited to, intimate pictures from her photo shoot (which are quite cute tbh)
People, however, couldn’t handle the comparison
They were talking about her ‘confidence’ to make the comparison
They were endlessly trolling her, too
And calling her out on the comparison
And that the whole comparison stemmed from Urwa’s khushfehmiyaa
There were those who were saying keh yeh kuch zyaada ho gaya
Aur bus keh ubh tau kuch bhi ho raha hai

That it was, in fact, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who copied Urwa Farhan’s shaadi
They also spok about the virality of both weddings
To be honest, there were quiiite a lot of people interested in the shaadi
That their’s was also a trending wedding…
And that, ummm, aap tau Pakistani hain
People were calling out publications for even making the comparison because there wasn’t any
That while they’re both actresses, one is becoming a part of the biggest family in the world, and the other also married the man she loves the most
And that the comparison didn’t really make any sense
Like at all
There were those people who were making so much sense that even we did a double take
That the two shaadis come from two very different cultures
There were those trying to knock sense into all those making comparisons
And this…
