So I was watching the usual reruns of my most treasured Pakistani TV drama Diyar E Dil the other night, and I found myself losing focus whenever the gorgeous Mikaal popped up on my screen.
I realized how underrated he was, what with all the Fawad Khan hype and cult dangerously dominating the world.
I’m pretty tired of Fawad Khan incessantly stealing the crown as Pakistan’s frontman, so I thought I’d give everyone SCIENTIFIC PROOF (alright maybe not scientific proof, but still) on why Mikaal is so much better.
*CUE THE HATE COMMENTS*
For all the Mikaal fans, this one’s for you:
1. For his candy floss laugh and smile
It’s like a ray of sunshine that fluffy laugh of his.
2. He’s such a fine, fine actor
Mikaal has quite the diverse palette when it comes to films and television. Diyar E Dil for me was Mikaal’s peak. Mikaal as Behroze was truly Emmy-worthy (if only we could submit Pakistani dramas to the Emmys, can you imagine tho).
3. Lays > Oye Hoye any day, errrrday
I love Oye Hoye don’t get me wrong, but I’m a lays gal tbh, and Mikaal’s luscious face in all them ads has a LOT to do with that.
4. His whole serious, pouty look is a little too on point
5. Him and his wife are majorrrr couple goals
Like
Serious
Goals.
6. He’s a family man and he ain’t afraid to flaunt it
7. He’s more patriotic than your nana jaan
He told Express Tribune once that ‘“There’s nothing better than doing a film in your own country, and I’d obviously always give first preference to my local industry!”
Kya baat hai…kya baat hai indeed.
8. He could give Kim K a run for her money with all the delicious selfies he takes
9. He’s a complete goofball
10. He looks a little too perfecto in a suit….
11.And even better in shalwar kameez
12. He’s quite the singer too…BRACE YOURSELVES
13. He’s a major gymaholic
14. He can channel bad boy look OH. SO. WELL.
And also he could totally star in a reboot of Grease as Danny.
…with me in the opposite lead OBV.
15. And finally, he takes care of that supple soft skin of his…guys TAKE NOTE
Sorry not sorry.
So there you have it folks. I think it’s safe to say Fawad’s been dethroned.
I rest my case.
