Even though most of us are pretty happy about the advent of a Naya Pakistan, it seems as if Imran Khan has caused a bit of unrest with his policies already.

At least those centred around holidays in Pakistan.

And bef0re the Eid holiday controversy could even settle, it seems as if the anger has picked up again towards the man with the bat, in regards to his rumoured workweek plan.

Yep.

Apparently, as of next week, Imran Khan will be implementing an official workday on Saturday for all government workers.

And thanks to two images going viral on WhatsApp, the rumours are quickly becoming much more believable.

The document above looked to be the agenda of the Cabinet meeting set to outline certain reforms brought by the new government, including the rumoured “Shift to six working days in a week for government offices,” point number six. Other reforms included the discussion of a tree plantation all over Pakistan as well as the topic of load shedding and cleanliness policies.

Apart from that first image, another image outlining other potential changes within the government has also been making its rounds.

The document outlines a number of reforms to potentially curtail the spending of the Pakistani government. Including bans on serving meals during official meetings, banning bottled water, a tightness in the use of air conditioners throughout the ministry as well as the minimal use of lighting fixtures.

It clearly shows that when Imran Khan meant Naya Pakistan, he meant it.

However, in terms of the shift working days, Pakistanis don’t seem to be on the same page as our new Prime Minister.

And though we are waiting for official word from the PM and the government on the matter, the Twitter world does not need confirmation before taking off on an absolute tirade towards the potential workday.

Of course, there are those who think the change is a fantastic idea and will set precedent for future generations.

For now, we’ll just have to wait around for confirmation of the rumour and hope for the best.
