This morning, Coca-Cola revealed it’s promo for the upcoming season of Coke Studio. With Independence Day just around the corner, the promo only serves to further light up the patriot inside you.
The message is simple: Dedicated to those who sacrificed their todays for our tomorrows.
The sight of the late Amjad Sabri only makes it even more potent.
Music is something that has been core to the culture of Pakistan for a long time, regardless of the Arabization in recent times. People like Amjad Sabri, who was unfortunately murdered this year, were and remain beacons of our cultural identity that we sometimes tend to forget.

Some history behind the song
Aye Rah-e-Haq- Ke Shaheedo was originally sung by Naseem Begum, who was a renowned Pakistani film playback singer in the 50s and 60s. She originally gained popularity as a “second Noor Jehan” but grew to establish her own identity in Pakistan’s film industry
