Jeremy McLellan is a fully transformed Pakistani, after his recent trip to the country. After a quick stint with his comedy show, the comic won hearts from all over, so much so that his return was an incredible downer for many Pakistanis, who insisted he stay. It’s been around three months since the American comedian left Pakistan, but his love for the country is evident on his social media, whereby he’s always expressing his adoration for anything and everything Pakistani.
The comedian took to Twitter to joke that he would put up the Pakistani flag for Halloween
He stated that he would ‘hang up’ his ‘Pakistani flag’ to ward off the ‘neighbors,’ aka the country across the border – India.
I forgot to decorate my house for Halloween so I think I’ll just hang up my Pakistani flag to scare all the neighbors.

Ayesha Gulalai privately messaged the comedian, requesting he take down the ‘humiliating’ tweet, not fully comprehending the context of it
Ayesha requested the comedian to remove the tweet, claiming it was derogatory towards the national flag.
…To which Jeremy screenshotted Ayesha’s response and made it public knowledge
Ayesha Gulalai didn’t like this joke and wants me to take it down. Sorry. pic.twitter.com/9ekJKEnNZ7

He then responded to his screenshot with a slightly indirect dig on the controversial topic of Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy’s allegations…
I would send her a friend request but I hear that’s considered harassment now in Pakistan.

A few understood it was said in good faith, but didn’t take too warmly to it
U might meant this as a joke but i found it derogatory

Many collectively joked that Jeremy dress up as a pigeon (from the recent allegations that Pakistan had sent a pigeon to spy on India) while he was at it
