So Karachittes can now officially say that “Winter is here”.

And even though they did freak out, *ahem* just a little bit over the ‘extreme’ cold,

They seemed to be doing okay. But it seems we spoke a little soon.

Not only is winter now here, but right now it’s at it’s the coldest point and can actually go head to head with places like Lahore and Islamabad. The temperature actually dropped below 10°C today as Siberian winds swept the city at 50 kilometers per hour. However, that isn’t even the most interesting part.

It actually snowed in Karachi last night, can you believe that? SNOWED.

Well sort of, it wasn’t exactly snow but something along those lines happened.

There was actually a hailstorm in Karachi last night that took winters in the city to a whole new level.

This was the first rain of Karachi during the winter season with areas including  Kharadar, Defence, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Saddar, I I Chundrigar along with adjoining areas being affected by hail and according to the Metrological department, rains are supposed to continue for the next few days.

Everyone in Karachi was excited, to say the least.

Based on the hailstorm, people began to predict when the actual snow would show up.

This girl was just glad that she got a Monday off because, well, obvious.

And obviously, someone had to be the buzzkill.

Stay warm, Karachi, be safe and hellOOooOo, enjoy it!
