Mahira Khan is the undeniable queen of the Pakistani media industry, and nobody can say otherwise. She’s not only given us countless reasons to be proud of her, she’s also stood strong in the face of controversies. And as of last night, she’s emerged like a phoenix and become the first Pakistani to have ever been appointed as Pakistan’s Brand Ambassador and face for ace brand L’Oréal.

In her first public appearance after recent controversy surrounding her personal life, Mahira has proved to the world that she is untouchable and unbreakable

She also said, jokingly, that it’s been a while since she’s been out, indirectly throwing shade at the incident that lit up the internet, ushering Pakistani celebrities to rush to her defense.

In a grand reveal by L’Oréal at the Pakistan L’Oréal Bridal Week 2017, Mahira was named the Brand Ambassador of L’Oréal Paris

And Mahira walked out onto the ramp like the goddess that she is, dressed in all white, and basically told everyone that she’s worth it

Mahira spoke about what she learned during the making of her upcoming film Verna – that ‘worth’ is called wuqat in Urdu…and don’t you dare let anyone tell you what your wuqat is

She went on to say, “that in life, through the trials and tribulations, through the joys, through the ups and downs, through the mistakes we make, and all the successes that we get, let nobody…nobody’s opinion define who you are. And if anybody needs to define who you are, let it be yourself.”

She walked, she danced and she most definitely slayed. And while doing that, she gave out a very, very strong message…

She said “meine upni film Verna sey ek baat seekhi hai…Shoaib Mansoor ne mujhe sikhayi hai. That worth is called wuqat in Urdu. Kabhi kisi ko yeh na bataney dein ke aap ki wuqat kya hai, apne aap ke ilawa. That all the women out there, including Mahira, are worth it.”

She proudly declared to the world that she knows her own worth

She rightfully proclaimed that no one can shake her, nor can they break her down.

This beautiful display of confidence, honesty, beauty, and wuqat brought people to their feet, it got some people very emotional, but it made every single person in the audience swell with pride. And THIS is how we like our Mahira. Standing tall, confident, and full of worth and wuqat.

Dear Mahira, you’ll ALWAYS be worth it! What did you think about Mahira Khan’s speech?
