Fellow models and celebrities have since been sharing the importance of mental health on social media, stressing awareness about suicide and depression. Actress Mawra Hocane has also commented on Anam’s disturbing death.

Mawra took to Instagram to post a message about how unfortunate it was to have ‘social media trolling’ drive Anam to her death

The actress knew a close friend of the model, and was told that she was being continually bullied and was ‘suffering from depression.’ She stressed how we must be kinder and how ‘words can take someone’s life.’ Mawra went onto say how it’s high time that ‘we treat depression as an illness’ to ease ‘one’s suffering.’
