There might be trouble brewing in the form of TLP protests again…

Late last night, news spread that Aasia Bibi had left the country along with her family and was traveling to the Netherlands.

Earlier this morning, the government called ‘fake news’ over rumors that Aasia Bibi had left Pakistan

There was news that she had been transferred from Multan’s prison to Islamabad late Wednesday night amid high security because of the threat to her life. However, due to the sensitive nature of the situation, officials are keeping news of her exact under wraps.

Rumors that she had left the country alone were enough to ignite anger from the far right groups in Pakistan.

Students from Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba protested outside the Press Club since they disagreed with the release of Aasia Bibi.

And soon after, reports from all over the country of people being stuck in traffic because of demonstrations started coming out.

There are even reports of traffic jams on the entrance to Lahore.

But police officials were saying that the protests were by Health Workers and not rightist groups.

But of course, people are convinced another protest will take place and are angry about it.

There are reports circulating of protests being organized by factions of Jamaat-e-Islami and MMA tomorrow, though so be careful in planning your trips out of your home

A viral WhatsApp message has been circulating, warning people about the proposed protests tomorrow by JUI-S, the faction led by the late Samiul Haq who was recently murdered under mysterious circumstances.

But there is still no clarity whether this is confirmed or not since the government is choosing to stay silent on the entire issue till now. We will keep updating you as the story evolves.

Have you seen any protests taking place in your city? Let us know in the comments.
