Actress Ushna Shah is never one to shy away from speaking her mind. The plain-spoken actress, who currently stars in the drama ‘Alif Allah Aur Insaan’ took to a private group on Facebook to discuss her shock and dismay in a late night tussle with a man who was following her car for at least thirty minutes. Female harassment is an unfortunate commonality in Pakistan, and many commended the actress’s chivalry for highlighting the incident and confronting him.
Ushna described how she was in DHA, Lahore when she noticed a black Corolla chasing her tail
The actress stated that the car kept pulling up next to her and urging her to pull over.
The car was following her for at least thirty minutes, and it was at this point Ushna forcibly pulled him over to confront the driver
Ushna asked him why he was following her and warned him that the entire Internet was watching, before which the man said he wanted her number
The actress is “sick of feeling so uncomfortable driving in [her] own city” and urged members of the private Facebook group to spread awareness of female harassment, before giving details of the car.
Ushna went on to tell MangoBaaz how she is now seriously contemplating carrying paintball guns and relayed a previous incident a while ago whereby two men in a Prado were chasing her. As soon as she stepped out to confront them, they had run off.
